There are a few things that make me want to read a book so I decided to make a list of things that make me interested in reading a book.
1. The premise
I always read a books description and if it sounds really amazing from that then I'll obsess over the book. One example of this is The Hollow by Jessica Verday, I read the summary for it and it sounded so good. Needless to say I did love The Hollow.
2. What other people are saying about it
If there are people out there raving about the book, then I'll be interested to find out more. If there are people out there who hated the book, then I'll want to go out there and find out why they hated it, or see if I'll enjoy it more than they did.
3. The cover
I know we're not supposed to judge a book by its cover but sometimes I fall in love with the cover of a book and I'll read it based purely on the cover. Likewise, if a book has a horrible looking cover and I don't know anything else about the book then I won't pick it up.
4. The Author
I am a youtube addict and I subscribe to some author's channels on there and the authors seem really genuine and nice and you can tell that they work hard to write their books and put a lot of effort into them and so sometimes, that makes me want to pick up one of their books and have a read.
So what makes you want to read a book?
