Review: It's with a slight sadness that I write this review of Wanted, the final book in the Pretty Little Liars series. I say sadness for a couple of reasons. The first being I am sad that the series is finally over. I began the first book, Pretty Little Liars, on the 31st of December 2009, I became so engrossed in it that I had no idea the new year had arrived as I read through pages of Pretty Little Liars. If you've followed my reviews of the other books you'll know that my obsession with the series grew and now at the final book I am sad to say goodbye.
The second reason I am sad is because as much as I loved this series as a whole, I was a little disappointed in Wanted. I'm not sure if I had overly high expectations for Wanted, but I just felt that it ended in a way that wasn't fantastic. It was alright as far as endings go but I was kind of hoping to be completely blown away by the ending and I just wasn't.
A couple of loose ends were left open which is a little sad as I really wanted to know more about them. I'm a tad confused about some things that happened in the series as a whole and wish they were explained but they weren't so I guess we're meant to form our own conclusions.
I loved Wanted almost as much as the other books in the series. It still sucked me in and kept me hanging on until the very last page. Wanted, as well as the rest of the Pretty Little Liars series are just simple and really good reads that it's hard not to get sucked into the pages and devour them in no time.
Being a massive mystery and suspense fan I can say that Wanted was pretty cool. There was definitely a lot of suspense. At times it drove me insanely crazy.
Overall however, would I suggest this series? Yes, definitely! It has everything it needed to be a really awesome series and I absolutely adored it. One day in the future I believe this series will definitely be a re-read for me. For now, however, I eagerly await the release of Sara Shepard's new book, The Lying Game.
