The Huge TBR Read-a-thon Wrap-up

The Read-a-thon is over for me and so I am here to do my wrap-up post.

What I managed to get finished was:
Deathnote Volume 4 : Love by Tsugumi Ohba
Nightlight by The Harvard Lampoon
Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
Tyger Tyger by Kersten Hamilton
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
The Mermaid's Mirror by L.K Madigan

And I read for a total of 37.6 hours.
In these hours I managed to read a total of 1489 pages.

Here is my activities for each of the days in case you were interested.
Monday
10 minutes of Nightlight
I had been studying for exams all day so when I climbed into bed I could only manage 10 minutes of reading.

Tuesday
1 hour of Deathnote
Just busy studying for my exams again. I managed to read more because I couldn't put this one down.

Wednesday
39 minutes of Deathnote
27 minutes of Killer
47 minutes of Catching Fire
Total: 1.83 hours
Getting a little better today.  Yay.  I decided to make a plan of action so I will finish Nightlight, then Catching Fire, then Tyger Tyger, then The Mermaid's Mirror, then Killer, then Sing Me To Sleep and from there see what happens.

Thursday
2 hours of Catching Fire
Catching Fire is really really good it's incredibly addictive.  I'm reading a bit more each day so thats really good.

Friday
335 minutes Catching Fire
134 minutes Nightlight
Total: 7.8 hours
I had my last exam in the morning so in the afternoon I read like crazy.  I kept forcing myself to read and my eyes were so sore. Luckily I had Mountain Dew to give me energy.

Saturday
218 minutes Catching Fire
277 minutes The Graveyard Book
124 minutes Tyger Tyger
10 minutes Killer
31 minutes The Mermaid's Mirror
Total: 11 hours
I started counting Saturday at midnight so I was reading like crazy as soon as Saturday ticked over.  I ended up reading over the stove top at 1 a.m making tomato soup. Then as I was having my soup I decided to read a little bit of Tyger Tyger.  Almost an hour later I went to bed because I was really enjoying Tyger Tyger. I ended up getting up at 9.30 had a super fast shower and sat down to read. I managed to finish Catching Fire which was so good. Then I managed to finish Tyger Tyger and then I finished The Graveyard Book.  I am on a really awesome thing here. I managed to read for 11 hours.

Sunday
420 minutes The Mermaid's Mirror
74 minutes The Restaurant at the end of the Universe
328 minutes Killer
Total: 13.7 hours
And the read-athon ends.

The reviews for all the books I read will be up later on in the month, so stay tuned for those.

Now that the readathon is over what am I going to do?  Well seeing as how I'm on holiday and I had so much fun just reading for hours on end, I think I may carry on and read some more!

And finally, a HUGE thanks to Kristen at Bookworming in the 21st Century for hosting this!

  4. Great job! You were very organized in keeping track of how much you read during the readathon. You picked some great books to read too! Catching Fire is one of my favorites and Nightlight sounds really funny. I read a little bit of it at the bookstore. It is amazing that you were able to switch back and forth between so many books!
