Books I Cannot Wait To Read

Books I Cannot Wait To Read

I've been reading through heaps of book blogs thinking oh yeah I should add that to my list and I keep doing that with heaps of books.  I do have a short list of books that I really, really, really, really want to read and I have some on hold at the library but they're taking forever to be there.  And I can't find any of these books in the book shops.  Some of this is because the books aren't out yet but some are just impossible to get hold of.  Anyway, here is my list of books that I really cannot wait to read.

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson
Eighteen-year-old Lia comes to terms with her best friend's death from anorexia as she struggles with the same disorder.
I've been reading several blogs about this and it sounds sooooo good. I'm number one in line for it at the library the trouble is the library doesn't have it.  I'm not really sure if it's out yet either.  Oh well, I can just sit here patiently waiting.  It's not like I don't have millions of other books to read.

Bloodhound by Tamora Pierce
Beka Cooper is finally a Dog--a full-fledged member of the Provost's Guard, dedicated to keeping peace in Corus's streets. But there's unrest in Tortall's capital. Counterfeit coins are turning up in shops all over the city, and merchants are raising prices to cover their losses. The Dogs discover that gamblers are bringing the counterfeit money from Port Caynn. In Port Caynn, Beka delves deep into the gambling world, where she meets a charming banking clerk named Dale Rowan. Beka thinks she may be falling for Rowan, but she won't let anything--or anyone--jeopardize her mission. As she heads north to an abandoned silver mine, it won't be enough for Beka be her usual "terrier" self. She'll have to learn from Achoo to sniff out the criminals--to be a Bloodhound. . . .
I really am a HUGE fan of Tamora Pierce.  I've read Terrier, loved it, now I cannot wait to read Bloodhound.  I have it on hold at the library and am number 42 in the queue.

The Forest Of Hands And Teeth by Carrie Ryan
Surrounded by death one girl must learn what it is to live. The debut of the year: moving, scary, stunning.
In Mary's world there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village; the fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. But, slowly, Mary's truths are failing her. She's learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power, and about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness. When the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, she must choose between her village and her future-between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded in so much death?

I seem to see this book everywhere, I don't want to buy it in case I don't like it because I've heard good things and bad things about this book but I'd like to try and see what I think of it before making a purchase.  So I'm patiently waiting for the library to get this book.  I'm number two in line so it shouldn't take too long.

Kiss Of Life by Dan Waters
Phoebe Kendall may be alive, but she feels just as lost and alone as her dead friends. Just when she reconciles herself to having feelings for a zombie--her homecoming date Tommy Williams--her friend Adam takes bullet that was meant for her.
The phenomenon that's been sweeping the country seems to be here to stay. Not only are the teenagers who have come back from their graves still here, but newlydeads are being unearthed all the time. While scientists look for answers and politicians take their stands, the undead population of Oakville have banded together in a group they're calling the Sons of Romero, hoping to find solidarity in segregation. Phoebe Kendall may be alive, but she feels just as lost and alone as her dead friends. Just when she reconciled herself to having feelings for a zombie -- her Homecoming date Tommy Williams -- her friend Adam is murdered taking a bullet that was meant for "her," Things get even more confusing when Adam comes back from the grave. Now she has romantic interest in two dead boys; one who saved her life, and one she can't seem to live without. . .

Ever since I read Generation Dead I've been dying to read Kiss Of Life.  I'm not sure when it comes out here but I have it on hold at the library and am number 2 in line so when the library do finally get it I shall be able to find out what happens next.

Dark Calling by Darren Shan
Events take an unexpected turn in this ninth awesome foray into the worlds of the Demonata...
Events take an unexpected turn in this ninth awesome foray into the worlds of the Demonata..."I know it's ridiculous. Lights can't whisper. But I swear I heard a voice calling to me. It sounded like static to begin with, but then it came into focus, a single word repeated over and over. Softly, slyly, seductively, insistently. Come!" The Disciples are being manipulated by beings older than time. Only Kernel Fleck knows that something is wrong. But he is in the grip of a creature who cares nothing for the fate of humanity. Voices are calling to him from the darkness and he's powerless to resist. Kernel has already been to hell and back. Now he's about to go further!.

After the ending of Death's Shadow I am dying to know what happens to Kernel.  Also, Kernel is my favourite character and so this book will definitely great seeing as how it's in his perspective. I think this one comes out in June here so I have to wait until then, but I do have this one on hold at the library and I am number five so I should get that one quickly when it comes out.

The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa De La Cruz
I just recently read Revelations but now I really want to get a hold of The Van Alen Legacy.  Revelations left so much open that I just want to get straight into The Van Alen Legacy.  I'm not entirely sure of the release date of it but I just have to sit back and wait for this one.

Graceling by Kristin Cashore
In a world where some people are born with extreme and often-feared skills called Graces, Katsa struggles for redemption from her own horrifying Grace, the Grace of killing, and teams up with another young fighter to save their land from a corrupt king.
Ever since I heard of Graceling I have wanted to read it.  I have had it on hold for forever now and can't seem to get the book fast enough.  It just seems to me that the queue is moving very very slowly for this one.  And I can't find it in any shops.

Jessica's Guide To Dating On The Dark Side by Jessica Fantaskey
Seventeen-year-old Jessica, adopted and raised in Pennsylvania, learns that she is descended from a royal line of Romanian vampires and that she is betrothed to a vampire prince, who poses as a foreign exchange student while courting her.
Like Graceling I have had this on hold for forever and the queue is not getting any smaller.  I have heard so many great things about this book that I just cannot wait to get my hands on it.  I guess I just have to sit back and wait patiently.

Well, thats my list of books that I really really really want to read.  They all sound so great.  I just have to sit back, read another few books and wait until these ones fall into my hands.
